General Information

The library aims at providing access to its printed resources such as books and journals as well as electronic journals and online databases primarily for the use of faculty and students. The services and facilities provided are supervised by the library committee consisting of Principal, Teaching Staff, Library staff and Student representatives.

  • 1. Students/Staff must make entry in to the Student/Staff Entry Register kept on the entrance of library.
  • 2. Staff/Student ID cards are compulsory in library and must be promptly displayed upon request by library staff/competent college authority.
  • 3. Lost student ID card must be reported immediately and a temporary ID card should be issued until the replacement card is ready. Temporary ID cards are admissible in library.
  • 4. While issue and return of library books/journals it is mandatory for students/library staff to make necessary entries in issue/return register and sign against the entry immediately. No grievances will be entertained by college authorities if the entries are not properly done in issue/return register.
  • 5. Reference material should not be taken outside the Library.
  • 6. Library users are responsible for the safekeeping and return of library materials issued in their name.
  • 7. Staff/students must return the books/journals before due date.
  • 8. In case of damaged/lost books by the user, he/she will have to make up for the damage/loss by replacement copy.
  • 9. Users are allowed to borrow library materials 15 minutes before library closure.
  • 10. Students/Staff must settle any outstanding issues with regard to books/journals issue/return and damage/lost books compensation/replacement at the end of each semester
  • 11. Telephone calls are not permitted in the library. Mobile phones shall be switched to silent mode at all times.
  • 12. Moving library furniture from its designated place is strictly prohibited.
  • 13. Silence must be maintained in library, and in any event noise should be kept to reasonable levels.
  • 14. Food and drink, with the exception of bottled water, may not be consumed in the Library.
  • 15. Any attempt to steal library properties is a serious offence and will result in disciplinary procedures and other appropriate actions.

Digital library provides user with coherent access to a very large, organized repository of information and knowledge and plays an important role in the teaching and learning process. The digital library has housed 5 computers with internet speed of 32 mbps. The college library has subscribed to National Digital Library giving access to more than 6.5 million books. Apart from National Digital Library network, college has subscription of Jayakar Library, Savitribai Phule Pune University, giving access e-books to the students and staff. College library has also subscribed online journals from Bentham Science helping students/staff to access the scientific journals. The availability of digital library has contributed immensely in the research being carried out at the college. Students and Staff are also utilizing the digital library facility for attending webinars giving them exposure to the latest developments in their respective subjects.
