Pharmaceutics Laboratory-1

Basic requirements in the compounding and dispensing of pharmaceutical product, formulation of various dosage forms like powders & granules, semisolid preparations, suspension etc. are included in the subject dosage form design at First Year level. Modern Dispensing Practices a subject of First year B.Pharm focuses on handling of prescription, incompatibility studies like physical, chemical therapeutic. Formulation novel drug delivery system like sustained release, delayed release tablets, transdermal patches etc. are included in syllabus of Advance drug delivery systems at final year B.Pharm level. The laboratory is dedicated for conducting practical of First year B.Pharm subject Modern Dispensing Practices and Dosage Form Design, Final year B.Pharm subject Sterile Product and Advance Drug Delivery System. The laboratory is equipped with apparatus/equipments like bottle washing machine, ampule filling and sealing machine, Digital Balance etc. Gas connection is provided in the laboratory and cylinder is kept outside the laboratory ensuring safety of students. Fire extinguisher is also placed in the laboratory.
